THE LIFE OF A WOODENFISH
Commissioned documentary following a group of American students who live monastically in a Buddhist Monastary in Taiwan for five weeks.
Tracking them through a regimented routine radically different then their home-lives, they learn to challenge their preconceptions to open and change.
The project’s cinematic style, pacing and use of Buddhist texts create a palpable sense of place, rarely experienced if not a practicing Monk or Nun.
Directed by HOLEN KAHN.
